October 14: Turning a banana into a doggie
Today we talked about food and about remembering to say thank you to Jesus and praying for others that don't have all the things we have received from God. We got together for snacks while we played and sang Pocahontas' songs and then we learned something really cool! to turn a banana into a doggie! We also watched a photo gallery about women in Mexico making beautiful pottery and how they were very grateful for all the blessings they received through the fruits of their hard work. We got to talk about the food drive we will be doing for Hallows' Eve and about asking the Saints like St. Vincent and St. Francis to walk with us during the food drive.
Thank you, God Bless and until next time!

October 8: Floating Rosary Rally
This morning, the Challenge Club team leaders and families got up really early in the morning to make a floating Rosary out of helium balloons. We had been reviewing every single detail for the whole week and we were awaiting this day with great anticipation! Thanks to all the helpers that came to help us! It was awesome because each balloon was like a prayer waiting to fly to Mary, and because a lot of people got together to pray the Rosary for Life and for all the unborn babies! The girls from St. Joseph's Challenge Club saved the day because they came to help us transport the 53 balloons and the cross made out of twenty-something bright yellow balloons to the grassy field in front of PP. God treated us with an awesome morning a beautiful statue of Mary reminding us of her infinite beauty and motherly presence in our midst. It was a great day! Thank you Jesus, Thank you Mary! God Bless and until next time!
Second Meeting: October 7: Our Lady of the Rosary
Today is the feast of our Lady of the Rosary. To celebrate, we received very special Rosaries that shine at night and that were blessed with water from Lourdes, France (where Mary appeared to St. Bernadette), and an image of our Lady of the Rosary with how to pray the Rosary on the back, then we talked about miracles that happened to people that prayed the Rosary, like the battle of Lepanto and the small house in Japan where they were praying the Rosary that was the only house that was not destroyed when the atomic bomb exploded and many others! God is awesome! and Mary really likes to help us! We also learned that Mary is asking us to pray the Rosary daily for the peace of the world. We went to the Chapel to pray one Mystery of the Rosary and then we came back and played with balloons and learned about the Floating Rosary project. So cool! We made our own helium balloon and got to write things like "Lady of the Victory, Pray for us!". We had grapes, Cheetos and lemonade for snack. Thanks, God Bless and until next time!
